Arkadiy Rotenberg, known in Russia as President Putin's childhood and judo friend and most recently showcased as the contractor of the Crimean Bridge, is preparing for huge tourism investments in the country.
Rotenberg announced that he plans to establish tourism facilities in different places, especially Crimea and Siberia, with an investment of 129 billion rubles (about 1.34 billion dollars).
Giving information to the Russian media, Rotenberg said that he plans to invest 129 billion rubles in tourism projects in Russia in the next five years.
Stating that they decided to make tourism one of their main fields of activity, Rotenberg stated that they plan to build hotels and recreation areas in Siberia and the south of Russia.
Stating that the first facilities will be operational in Crimea, Krasnodar and Altay in 2026, the famous oligarch said that the construction of affordable hotels, holiday villages and recreational facilities that appeal to different income groups is planned.
