Türkiye is preparing to receive 171 aircraft from Russia every day since June.
Izvestiya newspaper, which is known for its closeness to the government in Russia, which has not lost its interest in Turkey despite the Ukraine war, wrote that as of June, the Russian Aviation Agency decided to increase the number of flights to Turkey by 50 percent.
According to the news, there will be 1,200 weekly flights from Russia to Turkey in the summer. According to the plan, 10 airline companies in Russia will operate 750 flights, and Turkish Airlines will operate the remaining 450 flights.
The most direct flights to Turkey are planned to be made to Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir. Ilker Özkan, the Turkish Tourism representative in Russia, gave information to the Izvestiya newspaper about Turkey's expectation of Russian tourists this year, “We hope that the decline that started in 2019 with the COVID-19 epidemic is completely overcome this year and more than 6 million Russian tourists to visit Turkey."
