Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Maritime Affairs announced the cruise statistics for July.
Accordingly, the number of cruise ships arriving at Turkish ports in July increased by 28.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 154.
The number of cruise passengers increased by 72.6 percent in the same month to 209 thousand 33.
In the January-July period, the number of cruise ships arriving at the country's ports increased by 31.4 percent to 574. The number of passengers arriving on these ships increased by 83.6 percent in the same periods and was recorded as 691 thousand 958.

Considering the 5 ports where the most cruise ships come from in 7 months of the year, Kuşadası port ranked first with 264 ships and 372 thousand 831 passengers.
It was seen that the ports of Istanbul were in the second place with 102 ships and 169 thousand 320 passengers, while the port of Çeşme was in the third place with 47 ships and 30 thousand 15 passengers.
It was recorded that 42 ships and 39 thousand 679 passengers came to Bodrum Port, while 22 ships and 11 thousand 276 passengers arrived at Çanakkale Port.
