Kastamonu's Cide district was swamped by citizens looking to spend the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday. Visitors to the district enjoyed both the sea and nature.
Citizens wanting to spend Eid al-Adha in their hometowns or take a vacation created a surge of activity in Kastamonu. The district of Cide, with a population of 22,000, was especially popular during the 9-day holiday, attracting visitors from various cities. Many visitors took the opportunity to swim in the sea, while others explored the district's captivating natural beauty and visited the highlands. Five bus companies operating passenger transport to the district worked at full capacity to manage the influx.
"We even had to wait 15 minutes to cross the street." Ersin Yavuz, who came to Cide for the holiday, said, "Cide is a place we visit every year. The crowds increase each year. This year, it's busier than previous years. We even had to wait 15 minutes to cross the street. It's a beautiful place with its nature. Sometimes the wind limits sea activities, but the sea is also very beautiful. We love coming here. It's where green meets blue. The summer timing of Eid al-Adha has resulted in an extreme crowd. Since it's a small district, traffic becomes an issue. It's a place to visit and explore. I recommend everyone to spend at least one holiday here."
