The municipality has intensified its efforts to restore the Güpür Hamam, which is a lost heritage of the Historical City Square, and reintroduce it into urban life. Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın held an evaluation meeting with Özgür Seyhan Akça, the Director of Surveying and Monuments in Ankara, and accompanying experts.

President Aşgın stated that Güpür Hamam, one of the most significant parts of the Ulucami complex, has been abandoned for about 40 years. He said, "When planning our Historical City Square, we adopted not only the creation of landscaping areas but also the restoration of historical buildings. We acquired Güpür Hamam by purchasing it from its owners. In the upcoming process, we will complete the restoration process in collaboration with our Ministry of Culture and Tourism. We will arrange this place as a venue suitable for the spirit of the Historical City Square."
