Fish Lake in Ağrı, one of the important tourism centers of the Eastern Anatolia Region, hosted visitors from different cities of Turkey during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Located approximately 30 kilometers from Taşlıçay district, the lake with an altitude of 2 thousand 241 attracts attention with its surface covered with ice in winter and flowers blooming around it in spring.
Welcoming nature lovers at all times of the year with its islands, bird and fish species, the lake provides opportunities for different water sports such as ice sports and under-ice diving in winter, and jetski, flyboard, swimming and diving in summer.
With its untouched nature, the technotic lake, which has become a frequent destination for photography enthusiasts and local and foreign tourists who want to camp in the summer, has started the tourism season with the warming of the weather.
Citizens coming from different cities of Turkey to the facilities around the lake, where the density is experienced due to the Eid holiday, find the opportunity to spend time in nature away from the noise of the city and rest.
While the citizens spend time having a picnic and taking a stroll on the lake with the boats, the children swim in the water and have fun with various games.
Yakup Birlik, the operator of the facility located by the lake, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the season has just begun due to the cold weather.
Expressing that the density has increased due to the Eid al-Adha, Birlik said, "People come to see this beauty and recommend it to their friends. Tourists come here from all over the world. Mountaineers and nature lovers who climb the summit of Mount Ararat come here to breathe and eat fish after the descent. They eat fish, camp for a day or two and then leave."
The union explained that the red-spotted trout, which is unique to the lake, is highly preferred.

Expressing that there are many natural beauties in and around the lake, Birlik said, "There was an island before, there is two now, after the drought. This is a technotic lake with the highest altitude in Turkey. Such a nature and weather is not found anywhere else in Turkey. It's a unique place."
Nail Engin, one of the visitors from Ankara, said that he and his family came to the lake for the holiday and spent their time here.
Özge Çağlar, who came from Tekirdağ, said, "The air and water here are very nice. It is a beautiful place. We will try to come all the time."
