The first commercial flight at Çukurova International Airport, which was inaugurated yesterday with the participation of President Tayyip Erdoğan, took place today.
In a social media post about Çukurova International Airport, Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat made the following statements:
"With 71 weekly flights by Turkish Airlines, 49 by AnadoluJet, and 41 by SunExpress, we are connecting all of Çukurova, particularly Adana and Mersin, to the world via Istanbul and Ankara with a total of 161 flights. As we move toward our goal of an annual capacity of 9 million passengers, the 10 international destinations we currently serve from Adana will increase rapidly. I would like to extend my appreciation and thanks to everyone involved, especially our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, for bringing this large and modern airport to our country. May it be beneficial for our nation and Çukurova."
