AnadoluJet starts flights from Izmir to Baku

AnadoluJet, the brand of Turkish Airlines (THY), launched a flight from Izmir to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in line with its goals of connecting Anatolia to the world.

According to the statement made by the THY Press Office, as of June 16, mutual flights between Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport and Haydar Aliyev International Airport will be operated 3 days a week.

THY Deputy General Manager (Commercial) Kerem Sarp, whose views are included in the statement, expressed his satisfaction for further strengthening the ties with sister country Azerbaijan with the new flight destination; "By connecting the peoples, whom we see as one nation and two states, to the capital Baku, after Istanbul and Ankara, through Izmir, we also enable the consolidation of the commercial and cultural friendship between Turkey and Azerbaijan."
