Before the tours with balloons brought from Cappadocia in Indjija, in the north of Serbia, the event was held with the participation of pilots from Turkey, hosted by the Turkish Embassy in Belgrade.

Turkey's Ambassador to Belgrade, Hami Aksoy, stated that an extremely exciting project has come to life and said, "Tomorrow, the first balloon from Cappadocia will take off in the skies of Indjija."

Noting that all of the balloons came from Cappadocia, Aksoy said, "Necessary connections were established in a very short time. There is a great interest from Serbia to Turkey. The number of tourists who visited Turkey last year exceeded 360 thousand."

Milan Bogojevic, Director of Indjija Municipality Tourism Office, said that a new common history was being written between the two countries, adding, "One of the biggest tourism attractions is now in Serbia. We aim to fly 100,000 people a year with 7 balloons."

The organizers, who shared on social media with the name "Serbian Cappadocia", stated that Indjija is 1 hour away from the capital Belgrade, and announced that the balloon tours will be held at 19.00 on weekdays and in the early morning hours on weekends.

While it was stated that the test flight was quite successful, it was stated that the Indjija Municipality Tourism Office will assign guides within the scope of the balloon tours and the visitors will be informed about the best photography places.
