Before the concert broadcast live on TRT in front of the 2nd Grand National Assembly of Turkey Building, which serves as the Republic Museum, the speech made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul was reflected on the screens installed in the area.
In his speech before the concert, CSO Chief Cemi'i Can Deliorman said that they were excited to give a concert on a historic day.
Deliorman said, "The Presidential Symphony Orchestra is two very deep-rooted castles that existed with the Republic, were intertwined with the Republic, identified with each other, nourished each other, existed with each other. Today's spiritual value is very high for us. We will sing our very valuable anthems together."
Accompanied by citizens who came to the area with their flags in their hands, the 100th Anniversary March, written and composed by İlker Kömürcü, the late composer Prof Muammer Sun's Black Sea Anthem, the Homeland Anthem, the Progressive March, the Civilian March and the 50th Anniversary Anthem were performed.
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Ankara University Rector Prof Dr Necdet Ünüvar, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr Serdar Çam and AK Party Secretary General Fatih Şahin also listened to the concert conducted by the State Polyphonic Choir, conductor Burak Onur Erdem.
After the concert, the Republic Museum was opened to citizens.
