Economic confidence at a 3-year low

The Economic Confidence Index decreased by 1.3% on a monthly basis in August, falling to its lowest level in three years.

The Turkish Statistical Institute released the Economic Confidence Index data for August.

According to the data, the index, which was 94.4 in July, decreased by 1.3% in August, dropping to 93.1.

During the same period, the Consumer Confidence Index increased by 0.6% to 76.4.

The Real Sector (Manufacturing Industry) Confidence Index fell by 0.7% to 98.

The Services Sector Confidence Index decreased by 2% to 111.8, while the Retail Trade Sector Confidence Index increased by 0.8% to 107.9, and the Construction Sector Confidence Index rose by 1.1% to 88.
