Fatsa Island, which was built in harmony with nature by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and opened to visitors about a month ago, welcomes its visitors. Metropolitan Mayor Dr Mehmet Hilmi Güler said that the island, which was visited by more than 10 thousand people after its opening, contributed a lot to Ordu tourism. Mayor Güler visited Fatsa Island, which was recently completed by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and put into service for Ordu tourism, and drank tea and chatted with the citizens. Citizens visiting Fatsa Island, where the Metropolitan Municipality organizes free trips, admire the view and enjoy the pleasant moments they live in the middle of the sea with their families.
“Its contribution to Ordu tourism is great”
Mayor Hilmi Güler said that more than 10 thousand people visited the island even though it has been a short time since its opening, and that the existing tourism potential of Ordu will be further increased with new tourism investments. Mayor Güler said, “Fatsa Island, which we recently opened, has become an important point for the tourism of our province. Since the day it opened, it has been flooded with visitors not only from Ordu but also from surrounding provinces and districts. The fact that flights to the island are free of charge has caused this interest to increase even more. This island, which we, as Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, introduced to the tourism of our city, existed before. However, it was a place that did not attract anyone's attention and remained idle. We brought this place to the tourism of our city. With the social facility we built here, citizens who come here have a good time and enjoy watching Ordu from the sea. “I hope again that this tourism point will be beneficial to our city.” Citizens said that Fatsa Island made significant contributions to Ordu tourism and thanked Mayor Hilmi Güler for the work done. Citizens also expressed their satisfaction that the flights were free.
