FlyArystan launches Astana-Ankara flights

FlyArystan, the low-cost subsidiary of Kazakhstan's national airline Air Astana, started its flights to Ankara Esenboğa Airport.

FlyArystan, the low-cost subsidiary of Kazakhstan's national airline Air Astana, started its flights to Ankara Esenboğa Airport.

The ceremony was held at Esenboğa Airport as FlyArystan started direct flights between Ankara and Astana.

Airbus A319 type aircraft, which arrived in Ankara on the first flight from Kazakhstan's capital Astana, was greeted with a water ornament on the apron. Passengers and flight crew were presented with flowers.

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Ankara Yerkebulan Sapiyev, TAV Esenboğa Deputy General Manager Alp Karayalçın and other interested parties attended the cocktail organized to celebrate the start of regular flights between the two capitals.

Ambassador Sapiyev said that FlyArystan organized the first expedition from Astana to Ankara, the "heart of Anatolia", and that today is a holiday for them.

Sapiyev, "The opening of direct flights is very important for the two countries. It will definitely give a new impetus to the commercial investment relations between our countries."

Karayalçın also pointed out the importance of the start of these flights between the two countries and said, "As TAV Airports, we are extra happy to have launched a flight to the country of Almaty Airport, which we started to operate recently. I hope we will be together again with new flights in the coming days."

FlyArystan, serving as the low-cost brand of Kazakhstan's airline Air Astana, will operate reciprocal flights between Ankara and Astana on Tuesdays and Saturdays until October 18.

With the flights organized by AnadoluJet on the same route on Wednesdays and Sundays, the number of direct flights between the two capitals has increased to 4 per week.
