In his speech at the traditional lunch program held at a hotel in Muratpaşa district, Kavaloğlu stated that the effects of climate change have begun to increase and tourism is also affected by this.

Stating that they attach importance to sustainable tourism studies in this respect, Kavaloğlu noted that for this, the municipalities should take steps in cooperation with the public will and the private sector. Stating that the Green Tourism Certificate Program was put into effect quickly due to the fact that the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy came from within the sector, Kavaloğlu stated that 1188 hotels received the first stage certificate and 197 hotels completed the third stage.

Pointing out that the tourism activity in Antalya is higher this year than in previous years, Kavaloğlu said, "The German market in Antalya has exceeded 2019 figures according to 4-month figures. Germany has outstripped Russia after a long time. The Russian market is a bit off compared to 2019 figures. There is a significant increase compared to last year. Behind it are the UK, Dutch and Polish markets. We care about Poland, after the UK market, Poland is also showing a serious increase."

Stating that Russia and Ukraine are important markets, Kavaloğlu wished that the war between the two countries would end as soon as possible.

Noting that there was a decrease in reservations due to the earthquake in Turkey, but they are increasing now, Kavaloğlu expressed that they are hopeful for this year.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek also stated that tourism is important for Antalya and that they have made the necessary investments as a municipality.
