In Aydın's Didim district, the beaches were packed during the 9-day holiday. Altınkum beach, a tourism hotspot, saw a flood of vacationers.
As tourists flocked to holiday resorts during the 9-day holiday, the touristic district of Didim in Aydın welcomed its guests. It was reported that nearly 300,000 holidaymakers arrived in the district over the course of three days, and five-star hotels reached 100% occupancy. Additionally, boutique and apartment hotels reached up to 90% occupancy, leaving no room to step on the beaches.
In Altınkum Beach, known as the heart of tourism in the district, there was no room to step, and interest in the area increased further this year after the Didim Municipality made umbrellas and sunbeds free of charge.
Additionally, the district's 2nd and 3rd Cove public beaches, Yeşilkent coast, Manastır, Cennet, Sarıkum, and Beyazkum beaches also welcomed their guests. Many holidaymakers, particularly from nearby provinces and districts, were seen staying in Didim. With temperatures hovering around 43 degrees Celsius, vacationers sought relief in Didim's cool waters. Local businesses on Yalı Street were pleased with the heavy foot traffic, and merchants in the center also expressed satisfaction with the holiday activity.
