The Copenhagen Tourism Office has announced that tourists visiting the city will be rewarded with free meals and activity vouchers in exchange for participating in eco-friendly activities.

Tourists can earn gift vouchers for activities such as meals, coffee, wine, or canoe rentals by participating in activities like trash collection, using public transportation, or cycling.

The initiative, named "CopenPay," will begin on July 15.

Rikke Holm Petersen, a spokesperson for the city's tourism office, emphasized that people increase environmental pollution by using planes or cars when traveling abroad, stating, "One of the things we can change is to encourage tourists to engage in more environmentally sustainable actions at their destination.
