5 thousand local and foreign tourists discovered Afyonkarahisar's historical Phrygian Valley from the air with a hot air balloon.

Phrygia covers an area of approximately 20 kilometers between the extensions of Ihsaniye district, the towns of Döğer, Kayıhan and the villages of Bayramaliler, Demirli and Ayazini.

With the investments of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the private sector, 3,000-year-old Phrygia attracts the attention of local and foreign tourists every year.

Guests who come to the hotels and accommodation facilities with a capacity of 12 thousand beds in Gazlıgöl-Yaylabağı towns in the city, which is a thermal tourism center, visit historical rock settlements, carved rock tombs and monumental monuments in Phrygia during their vacation and have a hot air balloon experience over Emre Lake.

İhsaniye District Governor Doğukan Koyuncu said that Phrygia has preserved its current 2 million tourism potential in recent years. Stating that they host guests throughout the year on the route between Emre Lake and Ayazini village in Döğer town, Koyuncu said, "Public-private investments are constantly increasing in the region. Historical places are being brought to light with restoration works in the region. With many cafes and souvenir shops opened, guests have a pleasant time." he said.
