Justine Triet was awarded the Palme d'Or

French director Justine Triet received the "Golden Palm Award" at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in France for her movie "Anatomy of a Fall".

Selected from 21 films, the work revolves around the characters of Sandra, Samuel and their 11-year-old son Daniel. The film, about Sandra being accused of killing her husband, Samuel, who was found dead in front of their home, will be screened in France on August 23.

At the festival, director Jonathan Glazer was awarded the "Grand Prize" for his movie "The Zone of Interest", while the "Best Screenplay Award" went to "Monster" directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda. Yuji Sakamoto wrote the screenplay for the movie "Monster".

Tran Anh Hung won the "Best Director Award" for his movie "The Pot-au-Feu". Aki Kaurismaki won the "Special Jury Award" for the movie "Fallen Leaves".

The "Golden Camera Award" was given to Thien An Pham, the director of the movie "Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell", while the "Short Feature Award" was given to Flora Anna Buda, the owner of the movie "27".

Gunnur Martinsdottir Schlüter received the "Special Mention for Short Film" with the film "Far".

Koji Yakusho, who played in the movie "Perfect Days", was awarded the "Best Actor Award" and Merve Dizdar was awarded the "Best Actress Award". Dizdar plays the character of "Nuray" in the movie "Kuru Otlar Üstüne" directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
