Çeliktaş, in his written statement, stated that Van is the center of attraction for a market with a population of 125 million.

Stating that Van, one of the most important destinations of Turkey, is neighbor to Iran, which has the world's limited underground resources and tourism market, Çeliktaş said, "As a result of the works initiated by our chamber in 2014 with the slogan 'We are turning to the east', our relations with Iran have increased. In this context, the potential of our city was introduced throughout the country, especially in the border cities of Iran, festivals were organized in our city, and more than 500 thousand Iranian citizens visited our city annually with the implementation of new tourism investments.

Reminding that the Kapıköy Border Gate, which is very important for the city, was modernized and put into service in 2019, Çeliktaş said:

"After the modernization of the Kapiköy Border Gate, one of the biggest and justified demands of our room was to provide a 24/7 service. As of yesterday, the demand we have expressed on almost every platform has been met. As we tirelessly demand from the Presidency, the relevant ministries and all other institutions, the Kapıköy Border Gate has started to serve 7 days and 24 hours. We are glad that Iran has mutually embraced the issue in this way, and as a result, a historic step has been taken for our city. We would like to thank all the institutions and relevant managers who have made efforts and given their consent for the Kapıköy Border Gate, which will add value to the tourism, economy, trade and exports of our country, especially our city, to serve 7 days and 24 hours."
