Mayor of Kemer, Necati Topaloğlu, stated that the tennis courts under construction in Göynük District will soon be opened under the name 'Corendon Tennis Club Kemer'. He mentioned that the facility will feature 14 clay tennis courts. The 19-acre land in Göynük District, owned by Kemer Municipality, was leased to Corendon Tourism Group for 20 years through a build-operate-transfer model, following the auction conducted in accordance with the Law No. 2886 on State Tendering.
The soon-to-be-opened Corendon Tennis Club Kemer is preparing to host numerous international tennis clubs in Kemer. Corendon Tourism Group signed a cooperation agreement with the German Tennis Federation, which has the highest number of members globally and the largest number of athletes in Europe, at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair. The agreements, valid until 2027, were signed between Yıldıray Karaer, Chairman of Corendon Tourism Group, and Dietloff von Arnim, President of the German Tennis Federation (DTB).
As the construction of tennis courts in Göynük District continues, it is expected that the courts will open soon under the name Corendon Tennis Club Kemer, featuring 14 clay tennis courts. Mayor of Kemer, Necati Topaloğlu, emphasized their ongoing efforts to make Kemer a center for sports tourism, stating:
"We aim to contribute to the diversity of sports tourism through national and international events held at the tennis courts. The collaboration agreement between Corendon Tourism Group and the German Tennis Federation is a significant step for Kemer. We will continue to elevate Kemer as a sports tourism destination."
Yıldıray Karaer, Chairman of Corendon Tourism Group, expressed their happiness in signing the cooperation agreement with the German Tennis Federation (DTB), stating that sports have always held a special place for Corendon. He added, "We believe that this collaboration will bring an extra excitement to Kemer in terms of sports."
Dietloff von Arnim, President of the German Tennis Federation (DTB), stated, "Our love for tennis and our belief that sports bring people from different nations and cultures together have brought us together. Along with the excellent facilities of Corendon Tennis Club in Kemer, I believe it will attract many German tennis players to Kemer."
