The waste collection project initiated by the Metropolitan Municipality to protect the seas in Muğla, one of the most important tourism centers of Turkey and Europe and a frequent destination for blue voyages, continues without slowing down. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality teams, which continue their work to keep the seas cleaner, continue to provide service with 7 waste collection boats. In Muğla, which is one of the municipalities with the most waste collection boats in Turkey, Metropolitan Municipality teams continue to collect waste from boats in Göcek-Dalaman and Akyaka bays.
10 thousand boats were served
While Metropolitan Municipality teams served 10 thousand 321 boats in Göcek-Dalaman and Akyaka bays in 2023, they collected 3 million 825 thousand 762 liters of waste water, 365 thousand 685 kg of solid waste, 6 thousand 55 liters of bilge and 3 thousand 501 liters of waste oil from these boats. Continuing to collect waste throughout summer and winter, teams protect both the seas and the environment by disposing of this waste.
