In the statement made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it was reminded that a decision was taken on 16 July regarding the continuation of the practice of unlimited visits by Turkish citizens to more than 350 museums and ruins under the Ministry for 60 liras.
It was stated in the statement that as of August 1, visits to these places can only be made with Müzekart, and that the current price will be applied to foreigners' entrances as of this date.
Free entrance to museums and historical sites
Apart from the Müzekart, which can be obtained digitally through the Turkish Museums mobile application, free entrance to museums and historical sites is also granted.
Youth and children aged 18 and under, citizens of the Republic of Turkey, citizens aged 65 and over, veterans and the spouses and children of martyrs and veterans, the disabled and a companion, privates and non-commissioned officers, ICOM, ICOMOS and UNESCO card holders can benefit from museums and archaeological sites free of charge.
Also, press ID card holders, travel agency owners or their responsible managers, professional tourist guides holding the Ministry scent, Ministry personnel and retirees, their spouses and children, foreign children aged 0-12, with Comenius School Partnerships within the framework of the Lifelong Learning Program and student groups within the scope of the Erasmus Student Exchange Program are granted free entrance to museums and archaeological sites (provided that their counterparts in Turkey present their contracts).
