The number of tourists coming to Antalya by air this year reached 3 million 405 thousand 458 people.
According to the statement made by the Governor's Office, tourists from different countries enjoy their holidays in the city, which has started the tourism season fast and draws attention with its sea, sand, sun, natural beauties, historical and cultural values.
The city, which was visited by 2 million 422 thousand 349 guests by air between January 1 and May 31 last year, received 3 million 405 thousand 458 tourists in the same period of this year.
In Antalya, where 3 million 309 thousand 285 tourists came in the same period of 2019, which was a record year in tourism, 512 thousand 171 tourists in 2020 and 747 thousand 894 tourists in 2021, the season continues in an active manner.
The countries that sent the most tourists to the city were Germany with 827 thousand 618, Russia with 783 thousand 737, and England with 352 thousand 184.
Other countries that sent many tourists to the city by air in the five-month period were listed as Poland, Netherlands, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Israel, Belgium and Ukraine.
