The restoration work of the Oltu Russian Church, which is estimated to have been built during the 40-year period between the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War and the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, has been completed.
Restoration works of the Oltu Russian Church have been completed within the scope of the Restoration and Landscaping Project of the Historical Church, prepared by the Oltu District Governor's Office, and the "2017 Financial Support Program for the Development of Social and Tourism Infrastructure for Non-Profit Institutions and Organizations" of the Northeast Anatolian Development Agency (KUDAKA).
The citizens of Oltulu wanted the church to be opened to tourism after the restoration works were completed as soon as possible.
Oltulu Hakan Tosun said, “The restoration of the Oltu Russian Church has been very good, and we want the landscaping to be done as soon as possible.”
