In the city, which was affected by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the 'Handshake Stele' in the Karakuş Tumulus was broken, and the 2,000-year-old column was damaged.
The 'handshake stele', which was brought to the garden of Adıyaman Museum Directorate, was taken by crane and taken to the Karakuş Tumulus again.
Museum Director Mehmet Alkan said to the AA correspondent that the restoration works will take 10 days; "We brought the relief stele, which was broken after the earthquakes, to the garden of our museum. Here, we take the relief, which is in 3 pieces, from here with the help of a crane and take it back to the Karakuş Tumulus. As part of the restoration works, the collapsed column will be removed and the relief column will be glued. We are waiting for our domestic and foreign tourists."
