Sümela monastery broke the visitor record

Sümela Monastery, which was built by carving rocks at a height of 300 meters in Karadağ's Altındere Valley in Maçka district of Trabzon, hosted 38 thousand 252 visitors during the 9-day Eid al-Adha holiday.

Sumela Monastery, which presents nature, history and culture together, was at the center of attention of local and foreign tourists during the holiday as in every period.

The monastery, which is in the first place on the route of those who come to Trabzon, hosted 38 thousand 252 tourists between June 24 and July 3.

Trabzon Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu shared his message with the title "Record visit to Sümela" on his social media account and said, "Trabzon, the city of history, culture, nature, sports and civilization. 38 thousand 252 people visited Sümela Monastery during the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday. This figure was the highest figure ever achieved during the festive holidays.
