Tariffs of foreign flagged commercial yachts were determined

Yacht tourism, which draws attention in the world tourism arena, also attracts the attention of domestic and foreign visitors in Turkey.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has also determined the tariffs that will be valid this year for foreign flagged commercial yachts, which are considered to contribute and promote the country's tourism, to operate in Turkish territorial waters.

The tariff that will be valid this year has been determined for foreign flagged commercial yachts over 39 meters in length, which contribute to the country's tourism and promotion, to operate in Turkish territorial waters.

Yachts will pay up to 1.5 million TL for every 30 days. In addition, a fee of up to 1.2 million TL per year will be charged from these yachts.

For every 30 days, foreign flagged commercial yacht operators requesting permission from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for 2023 to operate in Turkish territorial waters for tourism purposes; 525 thousand liras will be collected from yachts between 39 meters and 60 meters in length, 750 thousand liras from 60 meters to 80 meters in length, 1.5 million liras from yachts over 80 meters in length for social and technical infrastructure services.

In addition to the contribution to be collected from these yachts for social and technical infrastructure services, the 2023 fee will be charged under the Fees Law.

Accordingly, a fee of 607 thousand 261 liras 30 cents will be charged for yachts between 39 meters and 60 meters in length, 910 thousand 891 liras 90 cents for yachts from 60 meters to 80 meters, 1 million 214 thousand 522 liras 60 cents for yachts over 80 meters in length.

According to the decision of the Ministry, it will request permission to show tourism activities.
