'Thanks to the tourism professionals of Antalya for their help to the earthquake victims'

Speaking at the traditional March meeting of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (AKTOB), Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı thanked the tourism professionals of Antalya for their support to the earthquake victims.

The traditional AKTOB dinner, which brings together the tourism professionals in the Antalya region, was held at Limak Lara Hotel today. AKTOB President and TGA press spokesperson Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, who hosted the dinner, shared data on the tourism sector.

Currently, less than 10 thousand earthquake victims were left in Antalya

Kavaloğlu: “The earthquake was the biggest tragedy that has ever happened to us in this century. We tourism professionals acted as the 12th of 11 provinces damaged by the earthquake and tried to support the earthquake victims in that way. We hosted 83 thousand earthquake victims. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, and our loyal and devoted tourism professionals. I would also like to thank our Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı.” Kavaloğlu also stated that only less than 10 thousand earthquake victims are currently in Antalya.

At the dinner of AKTOB, Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı said: “The tourism professionals from Antalya gave a lot of support in this great earthquake disaster that our country experienced. I came here today specially to thank the tourism professionals. One of the provinces that gave the most support to earthquake victims was Antalya. This happened because of you. I would like to thank you, our esteemed tourism professionals, who have hosted more than 80,000 earthquake victims without any problems, with an understanding of hospitality in line with our traditions. The numbers are getting better in tourism, and it will be even better. The world's best tourism service is provided in Turkey and Antalya. As long as you continue to work in this way, the industry will get even better.”
