The number of tourists visiting the fairy chimneys, valleys, underground cities, churches and open-air museums in the Cappadocia region, which is unique in the world, where nature embroidered with embroidery, water, wind and human beings as a result of thousands of years of work, is increasing day by day. According to the statement made by the Nevşehir Governor's Office, 342 thousand 969 domestic and foreign tourists visited the Cappadocia region in the first 11 months of 2022. Göreme Open Air Museum was the most visited place in the Cappadocia region with 94 thousand 424 people. Zelve-Paşabağları ruins 82 thousand 600, Hacıbektaş Veli Museum 52 thousand 610, Kaymaklı underground city 42 thousand 681, Derinkuyu underground city 29 thousand 497, Özkonak underground city 20 thousand 657, and the Dark Church 13 thousand 671 local and foreign tourists. visited. Along with other ruins in the region, the number of domestic and foreign tourists visiting the region in November reached 342 thousand 969.

Although the number of tourists coming to the region varies according to the years, the increase in the number of foreign tourists draws attention. In the same period of 2019, which is considered the golden year, 3 million 662 thousand 591 domestic and foreign tourists visited the Cappadocia Region. The Cappadocia region was visited by 962 thousand 124 tourists in the first 11 months of 2020, and 2 million 160 thousand 483 domestic and foreign tourists in 2021.
