The occupancy rate on the shores of Mersin on the eve of the Eid-al-Adha reached 100.
Many people, who took advantage of the Eid al-Adha holiday, preferred Mersin, one of the tourism centers. As in almost all parts of Mersin, local and foreign tourists flocked to the beaches in Silifke district. Hotels, motels, hostels and daily rental flats in the region reached 100% occupancy rate. Vacationers enjoyed the beautiful weather on the beaches of Atakent, Taşucu, İncekum, Boğsak and Yeşilovacık, where the weather is 31-32 degrees Celsius and the sea water temperature is 26 degrees Celsius. On the eve, while some holidaymakers took a yacht tour in the blue waters of the Mediterranean, others preferred to sunbathe and swim and play on the beach with their children. Some holidaymakers sunbathed on the sun lounger on the beach, while others went into the sea and enjoyed the sea. Stating that the occupancy rate in the District reached 100 percent due to the holiday, Operator Ergin Ak said, “Due to the Eid al-Adha, the occupancy rate in our district has reached one hundred percent. As operators, we organize yacht tours and jeep tours for tourists. The fact that there is a crowd on our beaches this holiday made us, the operators, happy. We look forward to seeing everyone on vacation” Declaring that they are happy that the holiday is 9 days, sunbed operator Ferdi Çıra said, “The 9th holiday brought vitality to tourism. From the first day, people started to come to the beaches more. I hope this intensity will continue during the holiday and until the end of the season.
