Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's Bodrum Sewerage System, which continues in Bodrum, has reached a completion rate of 95 percent, Turgutreis Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant 87 percent, and Gumbet Gümüşlük Wastewater Treatment Plant capacity increase project has reached a completion rate of 79 percent.
Infrastructure projects initiated by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality in Bodrum have come to the stage of completion. Bodrum will reach a strong infrastructure with projects costing 1 Billion 326 Million TL at daily exchange rates.
97 thousand meters of new sewer line was built
A new sewer line of approximately 97 thousand meters was built for the 518 million TL sewerage project, which includes Akyarlar, Peksimet, İslamhaneleri, Turgutreis, Bahçelievler, Geriş/Erdemil, Koyunbaba and Gümüşlük neighborhoods. In addition, 2,263 inspection chimneys and 979 parcel chimneys were completed, while 76 percent of the 19 promotion center buildings were completed. In the works, sewerage network manufacturing continues in Koyunbaba, Akyarlar, Turgutreis, Islamhaneleri and Erdemil Neighborhoods. On the other hand, 61 percent of the Torba Sewage and wastewater treatment plant project, which was tendered by the Ministry but to be paid for by the Metropolitan Municipality, has been completed. In the 350 million TL project, 5 thousand 200 meters of sewerage network and 6 thousand 800 meters of pressure lift line work were carried out.
Environmental treatment plants are largely completed
Wastewater treatment plant investments, which are of great importance for the protection of Bodrum's nature and especially its seas, initiated by the Metropolitan Municipality, are progressing rapidly. 87 of the 231 Million TL Bodrum Tugutreis Advanced Biological wastewater treatment plant project has been completed. While the construction works of the facility, which will be able to perform advanced biological treatment, are completed, the assembly of electro-mechanical equipment continues. In the project, which increased the capacities of Gumbet and Gumusluk facilities to the capacity to serve 200 thousand people, 79 percent of the works have been completed. With the project costing 226 Million 580 Thousand TL, Gumbet wastewater treatment plant will be enlarged 3 times, Gümüşlük wastewater treatment plant will be enlarged 4 times and a quality treatment will be made with the MBR system.
