Traffic congestion began on the Afyonkarahisar-Antalya highway one day before the end of the Eid al-Adha holiday. Afyonkarahisar, one of Turkey's key junction cities, experienced an increase in vehicle density on its highways. The congestion was particularly noted on the road connecting the city to Antalya, Isparta, and Denizli. To prevent traffic disruptions, police and gendarmerie teams took security measures and continued their inspections. The vehicle density, which started around noon, increased in the evening hours and is expected to continue throughout the night.
