In Dikili, one of Izmir's popular holiday resorts where there has been an increase in thermal initiatives, a new plan has been approved. A 1/5000 scale Master Zoning Plan has been prepared and displayed for the Solar Power Plant (GES) project covering 14 hectares in the Uzunburun neighborhood of the district. During the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process initiated for the GES project in the area, a decision of 'No EIA Required' was issued. The project area, owned by D-SOLAR Consultancy Engineering Industry and Trade Inc., covers 14 hectares.

The plan report states that the Solar Power Plant (GES) area remains within the Dikili Thermal Cultural and Tourism Protection and Development Area. The noteworthy aspect mentioned in the plan report is the nature of the planning area. It is indicated that the area designated as "Agricultural Land", "Olive Groves", and "Forest Area" in the 1/100,000 scale Environmental Plan and 1/25,000 scale Master Zoning Plan has been preserved. The nature of the GES area in terms of land parcels is described as "palmutlu field". Within the prepared 1/5000 scale plan, out of the 14-hectare planning area, 1.83 hectares are designated as GES area, 0.08 hectares as parking area, and 0.33 hectares as road area.
