Tourists who have made their holiday plans until the end of summer have largely completed their reservations. The number of Russians traveling has increased by 15% compared to the previous year, while the prices of tour packages have risen by 22%. Airfare prices have also increased by 26%.
The average cost of a tour reservation has risen to 198,000 rubles (approximately $2,200), while average airfare prices are calculated at 17,200 rubles for domestic flights and 50,300 rubles for distant international destinations. For nearby international destinations, prices have decreased by 2%, dropping to 27,900 rubles.
Among Russian tourists, Turkey remains the most popular destination. Southeast Asian countries and Georgia are seeing increased interest, especially among individual travelers.
Turkey accounts for 55% of organized tours, while Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are preferred by 8% of tourists. Domestic tourism expenditures have increased by 40.5%, reaching 118,500 rubles.
Among Southeast Asian countries, Thailand is the most preferred destination. Reservations to Thailand have increased by 2.3 times compared to last year. This rise is attributed to Thailand's availability of direct flights and its affordability compared to other popular holiday destinations. Expectations are that this growth will continue in the coming years.
