Turkish Airlines (THY) ranked 3rd among the top 20 airlines in Europe, with an average of 1,596 daily flights. Pegasus Airlines ranked 12th, with an average of 563 daily flights. These figures illustrate the high activity and efficiency of Turkish airlines in European airspace.

Istanbul Airport Dominates the Top Spot

In June 2024, Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe, with an average of 1,497 daily flights, highlighting its strategic importance in the region. Antalya Airport ranked 10th with an average of 973 daily flights, while Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport ranked 19th with an average of 679 daily flights.
