Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced an agreement with Airbus for the purchase of 355 new-generation aircraft, reinforcing its status as an airline with one of the world's most comprehensive flight networks as part of its fleet expansion goals.
The national flag carrier aims to enhance Turkey's connectivity to the farthest corners of the world and raise its high-service standards through this agreement with Airbus for 355 new-generation aircraft.
With the order placed with Airbus, THY will add 250 A321 Neo type aircraft (150 firm orders and 100 purchase rights) and 105 A350 series aircraft (60 firm orders, a total of 80 A350-900 with 20 purchase rights, 15 firm orders for A350-1000, and a total of 10 A350-Freighter with 5 firm orders and 5 purchase rights) to its fleet.
According to the statement, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the THY Board of Directors and Executive Committee, emphasized the significance of the substantial order, stating:
