Turkish Airlines (THY) carried a total of 5.5 million passengers in December, increasing its supplied capacity by 7 percent in 2019, and reached an occupancy rate of 81.6 percent.

According to the statement made by the THY Press Office, the company announced the passenger and cargo traffic results for December.

According to the December 2022 traffic results evaluation, Turkish Airlines, carrying a total of 5.5 million passengers, had an international load factor of 81.6 percent and a domestic load factor of 81.3 percent. While the volume of Cargo and Mail transported was 138.4 thousand tons in December 2019, it was recorded as 137.5 thousand tons in the same period of 2022.

According to the January-December 2022 traffic results evaluation, the number of passengers carried was 71.8 million. The total passenger load factor was 80.6 percent in the January-December period. While the international load factor was 80.1 percent, the domestic load factor was 85.8 percent.

While the Total Seat Km (AKK) Supplied in January-December period was 187.7 billion in 2019, it was realized as 201.7 billion in 2022. Total Transported Cargo and Mail increased by 9 percent in the January-December period compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 1.7 million tons. By the end of December, the number of aircraft in the fleet was 394.
