At the event, the tastes of the traditional Turkish breakfast were introduced to the representatives of foreign missions.
Turkey's Ambassador to Berlin Ahmet Başar Şen hosted the event held in the Balkaymak Breakfast Hall and was attended by the ambassadors of Israel, Bahrain and Belarus, the officials of the Georgian and Iranian Embassy and a group of approximately 100 guests.
Berlin Ambassador Ahmet Başar Şen stated that Turkey has a very rich cuisine and said, "We are engaged in different activities to promote our rich cuisine abroad. In recent years, our cuisine has been increasingly recognized. We organized the 'World Breakfast Day' in Germany for the third time."
Pointing out that World Breakfast Day is essentially an indicator of the value that Turkish cuisine places on breakfast, Şen said:
"The announced day also gives us the opportunity to tell our guests about the place of breakfast in Turkish cuisine. Today in Berlin, we invited our friends from the diplomatic missions here to this beautiful breakfast house and we had the opportunity to offer them a very nice Turkish breakfast, including our local delicacies. Our foreign guests are very satisfied."
