The war did not prevent the holiday
Especially Russian and Ukrainian tourists came to Antalya every year. Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, which affected the tourism sector as well as every sector, the number of Russian tourists remained below the expected rates. The Ukrainians, on the other hand, could not come after February as their airspace was closed due to the war.
But the Ukrainians managed to come again through countries such as Germany and Poland for the holidays. Antalya City Council Tourism Working Group President Recep Yavuz compiled the data of Ukrainians who came to Antalya for vacation in the summer period in his analysis of the number of tourists coming to the city by air by country. It was determined that about 134 thousand Ukrainians came.
They Settlement In Germany
Yavuz stated that more than 5 million Ukrainian citizens have made long-term transits to Poland, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia. Yavuz said, "On February 25, 2022, the day after the war, the tourism operator predicted that 'no tourists will come from Ukraine.' The majority of the arrivals consisted of Ukrainian citizens who settled in Germany and worked there and came to Antalya for their annual leave, and Ukrainian citizens who moved to Poland and lived there.
