Visitors started to come to Harput, the gateway to Elazığ's tourism, which is 4,000 years old. Citizens who took advantage of the hot weather in Elazığ flocked to the historical Harput District, the cradle of civilizations, which is the center of tourism in the city. Located 6 kilometers from the city center, the historical Harput District, known as the cradle of civilizations, has an important historical and religious value, and was flooded with visitors at the weekend. Visitors to the historical site had the chance to see and tour the mosque, mausoleum and many historical buildings in the Harput District, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List, from its curved minaret, which is registered even more inclination than the Leaning Tower of Pisa, to the Harput Castle. Some citizens enjoyed the holiday by barbecue in picnic areas.

Hayrettin Aytekin stated that they came to Harput as a family; "The weather was nice at the weekend, so we thought we'd take a stroll with the kids. It's my first time on the viewing terrace, too. It's nice, well done to those who did it. Harput is a historical place in our Elazığ. Everyone should come and see it."

Batuhan Aşkın Doğan said, “We are now in Harput, which is a historical and cultural place. You can find historical artifacts even on paving stones in its 4,000-year-old historical texture. On the weekends, local and foreign tourists come and stay in the boutique hotel. Tourists love to visit historical places."
