Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin: 'We are experiencing delays that annoy us and negatively impact tourism.'
Speaking about the issue of delays in flights at Antalya Airport, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin said, "We are experiencing delays that really annoy us and negatively impact tourism, but you can all see that it has decreased compared to 15 days or a month ago. We are in search of doing whatever is necessary to provide better service at the airport," he said.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin inspected the cleaning, maintenance, and protection works carried out at Hadrian’s Gate, one of Antalya’s landmark structures. After the inspections, Governor Şahin met with members of the press and answered their questions.
In response to a question from the press about the issue of delays in flights at Antalya Airport, Governor Şahin explained that there are many reasons behind the delay problem. Şahin said, "Some airport problems in Europe are spreading to Turkey like a domino effect; it is not just an issue for Turkey. We are experiencing delays that really annoy us and negatively impact tourism, but you can all see that it has decreased compared to 15 days or a month ago. We are in search of doing whatever is necessary to provide better service at the airport. Last week, we also held a meeting chaired by our Minister of Transport and our Minister of Culture and Tourism, and we are working in detail on all aspects of tourism, not just the airport. We will overcome all obstacles one by one to reach our stated goal," he said.
