In his written statement, Yazıcı reminded that 7 million 37 thousand 883 tourists came to the city by air from January 1 to July 18, and stated that the increase in tourism data in Antalya this year continues.
Stating that they offer four seasons of tourism with their unique weather, deep blue sea, beaches, quality facilities, lush nature and history, Yazıcı pointed out that the city has made a good start to the season.
Governor Yazıcı said:
"In 2022, 5 million 658 thousand 218 tourists visited our city by air from January 1 to July 18. In the same period of this year, 7 million 37 thousand 883 tourists came and there was an increase of 24 percent. While the number of tourists visiting the city by air on 1-18 July was 1 million 514 thousand 216, this figure was 1 million 373 thousand 704 in the same period of last year. In 2019, which is called the 'year of records' in tourism, 1 million 487 thousand 528 tourists visited the city by air on the same dates.
