59% increase in the number of tourists from Russia

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the tourism statistics for the first seven months of the year. Accordingly, 26 million 766 thousand 240 foreign tourists came to Turkey.

There was a 16.22 percent increase in the number of foreigners visiting Turkey in the January-July 2023 period.

With an increase of 59.22 percent and 3 million 498 thousand 614 people, the Russian Federation was again in the first place.

Germany is the second with 7.32 percent increase and 3 million 211 thousand 724 people, England is the third with 14 percent increase and 2 million 63 thousand 740 people.

Britain was followed by Bulgaria and Iran

Looking at the month of July alone, the number of foreign visitors to Turkey increased by 7.25 percent to 7 million 148 thousand 44.

In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors in July, Germany ranked first with a decrease of 2.12 percent and 941 thousand 597 people, the Russian Federation took the second place with an increase of 19.31 percent and 884 thousand 585 people, and the UK took the third place with an increase of 5.21 percent and 574 thousand 436 people.
