China's Xinjiang region hosted 182 million tourists

A total of 182 million tourists were hosted in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the 8 months of this year, and this number increased by 52.42 percent compared to the same period last year. According to information obtained from the region's culture and tourism department, tourism income from January to August reached 189 billion 688 million yuan, an increase of 111.42 percent on an annual basis.

This year, tourist products are constantly being developed to attract tourists across Xinjiang. It was learned that during the winter, snow and ice season, S-level ski resorts in Xinjiang hosted a total of 2 million 72 thousand tourists and a tourism income of 229 million yuan was obtained. Entertainment programs specific to different regions are offered in rural areas of Xinjiang. Itineraries of "lavender base", "sea of rapeseed" and "sweet journey with melon" have attracted countless tourists.
