Three cruise ships, Bahama-flagged "Odyssey Of The Seas", Bermuda-flagged "Enchanted Princess", and Marshall-flagged "Sirena", anchored in Kuşadası Port.
Tourists, most of whom are US citizens, disembarked from the ships and were greeted with folk dance performances at the port.
Some of the passengers visited the Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary in Selçuk district of İzmir as part of the tour program. Those who did not participate in the tour shopped in the city center.
Ege Port General Manager Aziz Güngör said that they hosted the Bahamian flagged "Odyssey Of The Seas" at the port, which is the largest cruise ship ever to come to Turkey.
Drawing attention to the importance of hosting 3 cruise ships at the same time, Güngör stated that 258,719 tourists came to the district with 191 ships in the first 6 months of the year.
Emphasizing that cruise tourism is valuable for the city's economy, Güngör noted that they aim to host many more ships next year.
