The International Blue Flag Jury has announced the Blue Flag awards for 2024. This year, 567 beaches, 27 marinas, 18 tourism boats, and 9 individual yachts in Turkey will fly the Blue Flag. In Didim, 12 beaches and 1 marina have been awarded the Blue Flag.
In our country, the Blue Flag Program is coordinated by the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV) and is implemented in 50 countries worldwide under the coordination of the International Environmental Education Foundation (FEE), based in Copenhagen, Denmark. While announcing the number of awarded beaches and marinas, the FEE reported that Turkey ranked third in the world in terms of the number of Blue Flag beaches in 2024. Spain ranked first, followed by Greece in second place.
In Didim, one of the two tourist districts of Aydın, the marina awarded the Blue Flag is D-Marin Didim. The Blue Flag beaches are as follows: “The Holiday Resort Hotel, Duja Didim, Venosa Beach Resort & SPA, Anadolu Hotels Didim Club, Didim Municipality Hotels Front Public Beach, Didim Municipality Altınkum Public Beach, Didim Municipality 2nd Bay Public Beach, Didim Municipality 3rd Bay Public Beach, Aquasis De Luxe Resort & SPA, Prive Hotel Didim, Lucas Didim, and Didim Municipality Tavşanburnu Nature Park Public Beach."
