An event was organized by the Dicle Development Agency (DİKA) under the coordination of the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) with the aim of attracting tourists from the aforementioned countries to the region.
On the first day of the Mardin program, the foreign guests were hosted in the historic district of Savur. Following a briefing by DİKA Secretary General Aykut Aniç accompanied by agency department heads and experts, the visitors toured Aziz Sancar House, old Savur houses, and the village of Dereiçi (Kıllıt), which contains historical sites belonging to three Christian denominations and Muslims. Member tourism agencies of TURSAB operating in Mardin also participated in the program.
It was noted that on the second day of the program, the group would visit some of the most significant tourism destinations in Mardin, including the ancient city of Dara, Deyrulzafaran Monastery, Kasımiye Madrasa, Ulu Mosque, Mardin Museum, and the historical streets located within the archaeological site.
