Edirne will gain a new tourism route

In Edirne, street rehabilitation projects will be implemented in the historical district of Kaleiçi, where historic mansions are located, and on Saraçlar Avenue.

In Saraçlar Avenue, the aim of the project is to eliminate the chaos of awnings and signage clutter in front of shops.

In Kaleiçi, restoration of historic mansions and revitalization of the street texture will add a new tourism route to the city.

A budget of 450 million Turkish liras has been allocated to the investment program for the two projects that will contribute value to the city in 2024.

Governor Yunus Sezer of Edirne, speaking at the Provincial Coordination Board Meeting held at Deveci Han Cultural Center, mentioned comprehensive work to be done in Kaleiçi and Saraçlar Avenue.

Governor Sezer, stating that fitting works will be carried out in both places, said, "Especially the project to be implemented in our historical areas, Kaleiçi and Saraçlar Avenue, has been included in the investment program by our Ministry of Culture and Tourism. A significant budget has been allocated. We thank our Minister for their support. The projects will add value to city tourism. Our city is beautiful in every aspect. Our goal is to quickly address the shortcomings.
