Gulf tourist's interest in Turkey continues

According to the statement made by TÜROB, the Middle East and Gulf countries have achieved a strong recovery by being one of our most stable growing tourism markets in terms of tourism.

With the effect of the strong return in Saudi Arabia in the first 4 months of this year, the number of tourists from the region increased by 13 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 1 million 22 thousand.

It is expected that the increasing trend in the number of tourists coming to our country from the Middle East and Gulf markets in 2023 will continue. Aiming to reach 60 million tourists and 56 billion dollars in revenue this year, Turkey aims to reach 6 million visitors from the Middle East and Gulf region with an increase of 20 percent in 2023.

TÜROB prepared a final report after the ATM Tourism Fair, the most important tourism organization of the Middle East, which was held in Dubai a short time ago.

TÜROB President Müberra Eresin, whose views are included in the statement, stated that there will be rapid increases in reservations from the region with the second week of June.

Eresin said:

"The demand from the region is quite good. We expect a very strong demand, especially in the second week of June, with the school holidays in this region. We expect an increase of around 20 percent in these markets compared to last year. Visits from the region will intensify in the June-October period. With Istanbul being the main destination, Bursa, Yalova, Sakarya (Sapanca), Bolu (Abant), Trabzon, Antalya, Muğla (Bodrum), Ordu and Samsun are expected to be our most preferred provinces."
