In Antalya, spring warmth beckons to the sea

As the temperature in Antalya reached 20 degrees Celsius, spring weather was experienced. People who ventured outside due to the warm temperatures crowded the world-famous Konyaaltı Beach. Many were seen swimming as well.

While the eastern provinces of Turkey were struggling with cold and snowy weather, the tourism hub of Antalya enjoyed temperatures reaching 20 degrees Celsius, creating a spring-like atmosphere. Over the weekend, both locals and foreigners flocked to the beaches and parks, causing crowds. The renowned Konyaaltı Beach was also inundated with visitors. With the sea temperature reaching 19 degrees Celsius, many took a dip in the blue waters of the Mediterranean.

The crowd on the beach further increased today with the 19th edition of Turkey's largest 'lifestyle marathon', which saw the participation of thousands of people. After the race, many took a break by the blue waters of the Mediterranean and the warm beach. The beach crowd and the rowing activity of the athletes were also captured by drone footage.

Emre Köroğlu, who came from Istanbul to Antalya to participate in the marathon and then swam in the sea, said, "Even though it's a bit windy, the sea water temperature is good. We came here from the marathon. The weather is very nice, we went into the sea. When we went into the sea, we felt refreshed. Antalya feels nice after Istanbul.
